The 18th episode of the NHK Taiga drama " UNBOUND (Berabou) " (General TV, Sunday 8pm and others), starring actor Ryusei Yokohama , titled "Utamaro, Mirugatokku is a one-hour dream", will be broadcast on May 11th. In this episode, writer Iwai Shimako will appear as the nun Jakuren.
Also appearing in the film are Yuka Mukozato as Karamaru's mother, Tonosuke Kato as Toyoaki Kitagawa, and Shigefumi Fukuzawa as the doctor who treats Kisanji. Costume photos have been released.
" UNBOUND (Berabou)" is the 64th taiga drama, depicting the life of Tsutaya Juzaburo(or "Tsutajyu" for short), who is said to have built the foundations of Japan's media industry and pop culture. The script was written by Yoshiko Morishita, known for "Drama 10 'Ooku'" which was broadcast on NHK two years ago and became a big hit.
In episode 18, Tsutae (Yokohama), who was searching for the author of the blue book, has an idea while comparing several paintings by an artist named Kitagawa Toyoaki.
She immediately visits Toyoaki, but meets a man named Sutekichi (Shota Sometani) in the tenement house. Meanwhile, Tsutaju asks Kizoji Hosei (Toshinori Omi) to write a new blue book. Kizoji is given special treatment by being allowed to stay at the brothel for several nights, and begins to write, but after a while, his writing stops... and so the story unfolds.
