It has been announced that a tribute event for Hayao Miyazaki's masterpiece anime "Future Boy Conan", "Our Future Boy Conan Exhibition 2025", will be held in June. This time, it will be held at two venues, Rivest Gallery Yu and Rivest Gallery Hajime in Musashino City, Tokyo, and new artists will also participate.
"Our Future Boy Conan Exhibition" is an event where you can rediscover and relive the charm of "Future Boy Conan" through the works of artists who are fascinated and inspired by the series. On display will be Conan and Lana drawn by Yusuke Murata, a manga artist known for "Eyeshield 21" and "One Punch Man."
In addition to Murata, participating artists include Ipponki Ban, Shimamoto Kazuhiko, Aoki Toshinao, Tanigawa Fumiko, Shimura Takako, Himekawa Akira, Aoki Mitsue, Kusunoki Katsura, Ohashi Kaoru, Yamada Ugetsu, Kihara Yosuke, Ichikawa Kozue, Fukuyama Keiko, Akai Takami, Kia Asamiya, Hayama Junichi, Yokotama Mamoru, Sabe Anoma, Otsuka Shige, Yamamoto Mamoru, Myagoregno, Terada Toru, Kitagawa Sho, Maeda Jun, Takatsuki Ko, GYAROMI, KAIEDA, Noumiso Akira, Kano, Oniyama Hisataka, Sato Yoshiharu, and Shimizu Hiroshi.
The exhibition will be held at Rivest Gallery Yu from June 11th to 22nd, and at Rivest Gallery So from June 13th to 24th.
"Future Boy Conan" is based on Alexander Kaye's novel "The Left Behind People" and was broadcast on NHK General TV from April to October 1978. Set in a world where humanity is on the brink of extinction after a final war, the show follows the adventures of a boy named Conan who lives on an island left behind, as he tries to save a girl named Lana.
