The cover of the new official illustrated book for the popular Pokemon(Pokemon) series of games and anime, "Pokemon Ecology Illustrated Book" (Shogakukan), has been released, revealing the contents. Focusing on the ecology of wild Pokemon, the book will be explained by Yoshinari Yonehara, a PhD in Agriculture who works at Pokemon. The illustrations will be done by Chihiro Kinoshita, who has illustrated many books on animal ecology. Both Yonehara and Kinoshita received their PhDs from the Graduate School of Agriculture and Life Sciences at the University of Tokyo, where they researched animal behavior and ecology, and will be observing the creatures known as Pokemon from a serious perspective.
The Pokemon series, and focuses on the differences, similarities, rules, and connections of each Pokemon's ecology, and explains them from four major perspectives.
On sale June 18th. Price is 1,430 yen.
