It has been revealed that the TV anime "Young Ladies Don't Play Fighting Games~Ojou-sama wa Kakutou Game Nante Shinai~", based on the manga by Eri Ejima currently being serialized in "Monthly Comic Flapper" (KADOKAWA), will collaborate with "Street Fighter 6" from the popular fighting game "Street Fighter" series.
"Young Ladies Don't Play Fighting Games" is a manga set in an all-girls school that depicts high school girls becoming enthusiastic about fighting games. A teaser PV was released that shows the main characters, Aya Mizuki and Mio Yae, engaged in a heated battle in a fighting game, revealing that the fighting game they are playing is "Street Fighter 6".
Additional cast members were also announced, including Sayaka Sembongi as Inui Yuu, a fun-loving mood maker, and Shimoji Shino as Ichinose Tamaki, the floor leader in charge of the fourth floor on the dormitory committee.
The anime will be directed by Shota Ibata and produced by Diomedea. It will star Ikumi Hasegawa and Kana Ichinose as Mio Yae. It will air in 2025.
