It has been announced that Yamamori Mika's manga "Uruwashi no Yoi no Tsuki," currently being serialized in "Monthly Dessert" (Kodansha), will be adapted into a TV anime and will be broadcast on the TBS network from January 2026. The story is a love story between Takiguchi Yoi, a girl known as a "prince" for her good looks and smart behavior, and Ichimura Kohaku, a senior student who is also known as a "prince." It will be directed by Maruyama Yusuke and produced by East Fish Studio. Ichinomiya Rei will play Takiguchi Yoi and Ryota Suzuki will play Ichimura Kohaku.
Ichinomiya commented, "At first glance, you might be overwhelmed by her beauty, but deep down she is very serious, kind, and also has a clumsy side. Her seriousness in trying to sincerely build relationships with others makes her think and worry about a lot of things in her mind. I will do my best to portray her heart, which is often wavering, and the feelings that arise within Yoi-chan and within myself for her senior!"
Suzuki said, "This is my first time appearing in an animation based on a so-called shojo manga, and it's something I've always wanted to do. We're currently in the middle of the dubbing, and although I'm finding it difficult to weave the words delicately, I'm happy to have been given this valuable opportunity, which is the ultimate reward for an artist. I'm trying to express not only Kohaku's coolness, but also his instability."
