NHK's documentary program "Document 72 Hours" (General TV, Friday 10pm). On April 11th, the setting will be a game center in Fujimino City, Saitama Prefecture. No matter how many medals you collect, they can't be exchanged for money or prizes. But why are people so addicted to them?
The subtitle of the program that day was "Invited to Medal Games". A row of medal games. At the game center in Fujimino City, Saitama Prefecture, there are all kinds of games, from nostalgic ones to new games. No matter how many games you have, they can't be exchanged for money or prizes. Still, all kinds of people come.
Some people get absorbed in games while thinking about how bad it will be to go back to work tomorrow, while others indulge in games that remind them of the memories they had playing with their fathers. What are these people thinking as they get absorbed in games? We followed them closely for three days.
The program is a documentary program that sets up a camera at one location each time and observes the various human dramas that occur there for 72 hours. It listens to the stories of people who meet by chance and captures the "present" era.
