It has been announced that NHK will be holding an "All Super Sentai Grand Vote" project, where people can vote for their favorite works, Sentai heroes, and Sentai robots from the Super Sentai series, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. NHK has previously held voting projects for "Gundam," "Macross," "PreCure," "Final Fantasy," Rumiko Takahashi's works, "Evangelion," and "Kamen Rider," which have been the talk of the town. This will be the first time the poll has been held in about three years. Voting will begin on April 5th, the day the first episode of the first series, "Himitsu Sentai Goranger," was broadcast 50 years ago, and will run until May 6th.
The results will be announced on the NHK BS program "Announcement! All Super Sentai Grand Poll" which will be broadcast from 7:30 pm on May 17th.
A related program, "Voting Announcement PR Special Edition...Introducing all 49 works at once!" will be broadcast on NHK BS from 2:00 p.m. on March 29th, and on NHK General TV from 2:15 p.m. on March 31st.
