On March 6th, TV Asahi held a briefing session on the April rescheduling at its headquarters (Minato Ward, Tokyo). Producer Tsuzuki Ayumu of "Musashino Rondo," which will begin airing on April 19th in the "Oshidora Saturday" slot (Saturdays at 11pm), took to the stage and spoke passionately about the appeal of the lead actor, Yoshinori Masakado of "Ae! group."
Producer Tsuzuki explained, "Now in its fourth year, Oshidora Saturday has welcomed Masakado-san, who just made her CD debut last year, to the lead role. Masakado-san is said to be the representative of the 'real love' category." He explained that a 'real love' is "not an idol that you admire and genuinely support, but someone that you actually want to date."
"It's his first time starring in a romance drama, and also his first time starring in a serial drama.In any case, it's all new for Shokado-san, so I intend to capture all of those firsts.Even though he's busy with the tour, he cut his hair short, and his sincere attitude towards this production and his enthusiasm as the leader of the troupe come through," he said, revealing Shokado-san's condition.
He revealed that he made a "promise" with Shokado, saying, "Perfect age-gap dramas are born periodically, but I want everyone to say that this is the representative age-gap romance drama of 2025, that this is the winner. There are always hugs and kisses in every episode, so I wanted to do my best to make the excitement last even for just a second longer."
Finally, he appealed to everyone, saying, "I have a request. I have a feeling that there may be some viewers who have not yet noticed Shokado-san's charm. I would appreciate it if all reporters could help spread the word about his charm for even just one second longer."
This is a drama adaptation of Kawachi Haruka's manga of the same name (Shodensha, currently being serialized). The protagonist, Agawa Ryuhei (Masakado), has been in love with a girl next door who is 10 years older than him since he was a child, but she has never seen him as a romantic interest. When a love rival appears, he begins to aggressively approach her, and after 10 years, his unrequited love begins to move forward... This is the story. While depicting pure love, it is also an "adult love story" that involves a love triangle and unpredictable and shocking developments. Takanashi Rin plays Musashibara Tamaki, the ballet instructor and object of Ryuhei's unrequited love and the heroine of this work.
