The first part (episode 18) of the final episode special "The Monster and the Holy Sword" of the popular detective drama "Aibou Season 23" (TV Asahi, Wednesday 9pm) will be broadcast on March 5th.
Ukyo (Yutaka Mizutani) and Kaoru (Yasuhito Terawaki) are called to the Integrated Investigation Headquarters for Anonymous Mobile Crimes, where they are in charge of four consecutive home invasions and robberies in the last two months. From the victims' stories, Ukyo realizes that the only crime committed was that of Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly member Michiko Hashisako (Reika Aiki).
Upon questioning, it turns out that mysterious documents concerning metropolitan public works and subsidies had been sent to Michiko's office, indicating that over 10 billion yen in metropolitan taxes had mysteriously been leaked.
Ukyo and Kaoru believe that the series of incidents involves huge vested interests and so they confront the Tokyo governor, Ichioka (Katagiri Jin), but are evaded.
Meanwhile, mysterious figures such as Kihara Kenji (Hirayama Yusuke), a man who seems to have a connection to the incident, and Ura Kamika (Maikuma Katsuya), a man who has been approaching Ukyo in an unnatural way, begin to quietly make their move...
The script was written by Katsunari Mano and the director was Hajime Hashimoto.
