According to the movie attendance rankings for February 28th to March 2nd (surveyed by Kogyo Tsushinsha) announced on March 3rd, "First Kiss 1ST KISS", written by Yuji Sakamoto and directed by Ayuko Tsukahara, took the top spot. This is the first time the film has topped the list in about three weeks, since the rankings for February 7th to 9th. Matsu Takako plays the main character, Suzuri Kanna, who loses her husband in an accident and travels back in time to the day just before she meets him, while Matsumura Hokuto plays Kanna's husband, Kakeru, who meets Kanna from the future. Over the three-day weekend, the film attracted approximately 142,000 viewers and grossed approximately 204 million yen. In total, the film attracted 1.17 million viewers and grossed over 1.6 billion yen.
Among the films making their debut, "Shiranai Kanojo" (directed by Miki Takahiro), starring Kento Nakajima and featuring milet as the heroine, ranked second. In the three days since its release on February 28th, it attracted approximately 119,000 viewers and grossed approximately 158 million yen. Coming in fourth is "A Complete Unknown" (directed by James Mangold), in which actor Timothée Chalamet plays a young Bob Dylan.
"Trillion Game: The Movie" (directed by Murao Yoshiaki), which had topped the charts for two consecutive weeks until last week, came in third, drawing in around 112,000 viewers over the three-day weekend and earning around 145 million yen in box office revenue. In total, it has attracted 1.05 million viewers and grossed over 1.4 billion yen.
"Under Ninja" (directed by Fukuda Yuichi), which is in its sixth week of release, is in fifth place, with a total of 820,000 viewers and box office revenue exceeding 1.1 billion yen. In eighth place is "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-" (directed by Tsurumaki Kazuya), with a total of 1.8 million viewers and box office revenue exceeding 2.9 billion yen. In tenth place is " Nintama Rantaro the Movie: Dokutake Ninja Corps Strongest Strategist" (directed by Fujimori Masaya), with 1.87 million viewers and box office revenue reaching 2.8 billion yen.
