It has been revealed that Kiryuin Sho of the visual kei air band Golden Bomber will be writing the theme song for the TV anime "Everyday Host," based on a four-panel comedy manga depicting the daily life of the host business. The newly written theme song is titled "Everyday Host," and will be sung by the characters played by voice actors Hiro Shimono, Yashiro Taku, Tasuku Hatanaka, and Nobuhiko Okamoto as the "Ebu Host Players." The PV was released on YouTube, and the song was unveiled.
Kiryuin commented, "I'm very sorry to get so personal about this, but at the moment I'm not really accepting any song requests. However, I felt that the story of 'Ever Day Host' and the characters that appear in it have a mysterious charm, so I decided to accept a request to compose a song for the first time in several years. In producing the song, I kept in mind that I wanted to create music and lyrics that would further enhance the momentum of the charming characters that appear in Ever Day Host. I would be happy if you would listen to it and watch Ever Day Host."
Director and scriptwriter Lareco said, "First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Kiryuin-san for providing us with such a wonderful song. It is an overwhelming song that speaks more eloquently of the soul of the original work than the anime itself. As a director, I feel regretful, but as a creator, I have to take my hat off to him. Love, desire, loneliness and frivolity - it's a song that packs all of these together, like a crowded train at night. I hope that you will be able to fully experience this overwhelming worldview along with the work."
The work is a four-panel web manga by Goto Tomo that began serialization on pixiv, Niconico Seiga, and other platforms in 2020. Set in the homey host club "Club One" located a short distance from the glittering Shinjuku, the story depicts the outrageous daily lives of people in the host industry.
The anime will be directed and scripted by Lareko, known for "Aggressive Retsuko" and "Soft Tank." It will be produced by Fanworks. It will be broadcast on TV Tokyo and other networks from April 4th as a short anime of about 3 minutes.
