It has been revealed that ano will be performing the theme song "Loli Lokkyun Robo" for the movie version of "Me & Roboco and Roboco," an anime adaptation of Shuhei Miyazaki's popular comedy manga currently being serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha). Ano also appeared in chapter 223 of "Me & Roboco" in issue 14 of "Weekly Shonen Jump," released on March 3rd. Roboco works hard to compose a song in preparation for receiving an offer to perform the theme song for the movie, but when he finds out that Ano will be performing the theme song, he becomes competitive... this is a special collaboration episode.
Ano commented, "I have written a new theme song for ' Me & Roboco.' I hope you will look forward to hearing how the song blends with the comical and charming world of Roboco! I think you will enjoy an ano like never before. I myself was imagining it being played in movie theaters while writing the song, so I am looking forward to the release. I hope everyone will go to the theater to see and listen to it."
The main visual shows the main character Roboco and the "Multiverse Roboco" who have gathered from various world lines facing an unprecedented crisis that has befallen the town of Bermuda, with a giant flying saucer and a pitch-black veil covering the sky, as well as a trailer showing five Roboco's going on a rampage.
"Me & Roboco" began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Jump" in July 2020. Set in the year 20XX, when beautiful maid robots have become commonplace in every household, the story depicts the comical daily life of Roboco, a maid robot with unconventional behavior, and Bond, a kind-hearted boy. The comic has sold a total of approximately 1.5 million copies.
The TV anime aired from December 2022 to June 2023. The movie version will be directed by Heitaro Daichi, who is known for his work on anime such as "Ojarumaru" and "Sexy Command Gaiden: Sugoi yo!! Masaru-san" and is also known as a "master of comedy anime." It will be released on April 18th.
