A toy of the Hover Pilder, which appears in the popular manga and anime series "Mazinger Z", called "Popinica Hover Pilder" (Bandai Spirits) will be released in August. The price is 9,900 yen.
The toy of the Hover Pilder, the flying mecha that becomes the pilot's seat of Mazinger Z, is being revived in the same nostalgic form as the one released by Popy in 1973. The main body is made of die-cast, and the clear parts of the canopy open and close to recreate the cockpit in which the Koji Kabuto figure sits.
It comes with a magnetic joint, and can be combined with the head of "Mazinger Z" from the "Jumbo Machinder" series (sold separately) to "Pilder On". Total height is about 9 cm.
