Information has been announced about the theme song for the third season of the TV anime "One Punch Man," which is based on a manga currently being serialized on the web manga site "Tonari no Young Jump" (Shueisha). The anime song unit "JAM Project" and the metal unit "BABYMETAL," which is a featured artist, will be performing the opening theme "Get No Satisfied!" as "JAM Project feat. BABYMETAL." Voice actor and singer Makoto Furukawa will sing the ending theme "Soko ni Aru Hikari." The third season will begin airing in October.
Hironobu Kageyama of JAM Project commented, "Following the first and second seasons, we will now be in charge of the opening theme song for the third season of One Punch Man! The song is titled "Get No Satisfied!" This opening theme, in which the battles between the unique characters heat up more than ever, has the same loud, powerful feel as before, but with a free, street-style feel that befits a work set in 2025, and we have tried to express the One Punch Man world as we envision it! This time, the song has a different worldview from the second season's ending theme song, 'I'll Come Back Even Without a Map.' It is a song that sings of the strength of people. The series began as a website serialization by ONE in 2009, and since 2012, the manga illustrated by Yusuke Murata has been serialized in Tonari no Young Jump. It depicts the exploits of Saitama, a hero who has acquired invincible powers and can defeat any enemy with a single punch. The series has sold over 34 million copies in total.
The first season of the TV anime aired from October to December 2015, and the second season aired from April to July 2019. It has also been announced that it will be adapted into a live-action Hollywood movie.
