A special program of "24 Hour TV 48 - Love Saves the Earth" (Nippon TV), which will be broadcast on August 30th and 31st, entitled "Kintore 24 Hour TV Special Edition! Nagase & Takahashi Interview Marathon Runner Yokoyama Yu!" will be broadcast locally in the Kanto region from 2pm on August 24th. Details of the project "Borderless LIVE We are the No Borders!!", which is being managed by Takahashi Kaito of King & Prince, who is a charity partner, have been released, and some of the performers will be introduced on the program.
"Borderless LIVE We are the No Borders!!" is a one-night-only special live performance by Takahashi, who boasts approximately 20 years of dance experience and is praised by many for his expressiveness in the entertainment industry. A total of 96 people from Japan and abroad will perform.
The special program will feature a sneak peek at some of the performers for the project. Charity partner Kiyoshi Hikawa will perform "Born This Way" by American singer Lady Gaga. Figure skater Marin Honda will perform contemporary dance alongside world-renowned dancer and director Kaiji Moriyama and professional dancer with a prosthetic leg, Koichi Omae. Noeru Kawashima of Travis Japan will create a passionate stage performance alongside top Japanese samba performers Nakamise Barbaros, and Samuka and MORIKO JAPAN, breakdancers with disabilities from Ill Abilities.
In addition, top cheerleading teams from Japan and the US will also be gathering. The cheerleading team from Shobi University and the cheerleaders from the LA Rams, a team in the professional American football league NFL, will both perform.
Takahashi said, "This is a stage that transcends borders, gender, disabilities and language barriers. When we perform with the thought, 'This is fun!', the audience will empathize and think, 'This is fun!' and we will deliver a moment when their hearts and bodies will sway and they will dance. It will be a genre-less stage with samba x breaking and unique contemporary, and we are also preparing kabuki x hip-hop. We want to convey that it is so much fun when various cultures come together to perform, and that there is power in caring for each other with respect. Please look forward to it!"
This year's 24-Hour TV will have the theme "Tell me about yourself," and will be broadcast from the main venue, Ryogoku Kokugikan (Sumida Ward, Tokyo). The general hosts will be Ueda Shinya, Hatori Shinichi, and announcer Miura. Charity partners will be King & Prince, Jun Shison Jun, Nagashima Kazushige, Hamabe Minami, Hikawa, and Yasuko. The program will air from 6:30 PM on August 30th to 8:54 PM on the 31st.
