Actor Abe Hiroshi appeared at the Japan premiere of his starring movie "Showtime Seven" (directed by Watanabe Kazutaka, scheduled for release on February 7th) held in Tokyo on January 22nd, along with his co- Meru Nukumi Meru and Yoshida Kotaro, Perfume, who will perform the theme song and appear as themselves, and director Watanabe.
Abe plays Shinnosuke Orimoto, a former popular newscaster who is called upon by the bomber to take part in a live broadcast (showtime) that puts his life on the line. In keeping with Orimoto's challenge to take on the bomber's impossible tasks, a "request time" is set aside for Abe, and Perfume's Kashiyuka (Yuka Kashino) makes an offer, saying, "Would you like to introduce yourself together?"
Abe readily agreed, but when he was instructed on the pose, he gave a wry smile and said, "Can I refuse?" A-chan (Nishiwaki Ayaka) urged him, "It will be a good memento, so do it quickly!", and he introduced himself blushingly alongside the other three, saying, "We are Kashiyuka, A-chan, Nocchi, and Hiroshi. The four of us together are Perfume!"
The movie is based on the Korean hit "Terror Live" (directed by Kim Byung-woo). Abe said, "It's a suspenseful hour and a half, but I think you'll be quite surprised by the last six minutes. I hope you'll enjoy that."
