A new PV has been released on YouTube in response to the start of the second season of " Kyoto Disturbance ", the second season of the new TV anime " Rurouni Kenshin : Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story ", based on the popular manga by Nobuhiro Watsuki, on January 9th. In the second season, Shishio Makoto's special attack unit, the Ten Swords, finally gathers in Kyoto, and the curtain rises on a fierce battle. The PV shows a bleeding Himura Kenshin, Kenshin and Hiko Seijuro, Shinomori Aoshi and Kashiwazaki Nenshi, also known as Okina, and Makimachi Misao.
It was also announced that singer-songwriter Zarame will be performing the ending theme for the second season, "Tada Hitotsu," and the song was unveiled in a promotional video. Zarame commented, "The loneliness and fondness of waiting for someone while wishing to meet them. Because saying "welcome home" and "I'm home" is not a given, there are people you can think about, and even if you're far away, you're never alone. I wrote a song about those feelings of thinking about the clumsy but straightforward person you love. I hope you listen to the song while thinking about the characters in the work and your feelings for your loved ones. I hope it reaches many people."
"Rurouni Kenshin" is a popular manga that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from 1994 to 1999. It depicts Himura Kenshin, who was feared as the assassin Battousai during the late Edo period, as he becomes a wanderer who has sworn not to kill after the Meiji Restoration and searches for a way to live in a new era. A new chapter, "Rurouni Kenshin : Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story Hokkaido Arc", has been serialized in the monthly manga magazine "Jump SQ." (Shueisha) since 2017.
The script for the new anime is supervised by the original author, Watsuki. The first season aired from July to December 2023. The second season is currently airing on Fuji TV's late-night anime slot "Noitamina" and elsewhere. Singers yama and WurtS will be in charge of the opening theme "BURN" for the second season's second cour.
