The three-member band "Omoinotake" appeared at the rehearsal for the 75th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen(General and other channels) held at the NHK Hall in Shibuya, Tokyo on December 29th.
This will be Omoinotake's first appearance at the Kohaku Uta Gassen. Vocalist Reo Fujii said, "It has always been my goal to continue appearing at the Kohaku Uta Gassen, so I'm excited to finally take my first step. I want to give the best performance possible."
All three members are from Matsue city, Shimane Prefecture, and drummer Hironoshin Tomita said, "It's a truly important town where the three of us met," and sent a message to the local area, saying, "We hope you will continue to support us in the future."
Bassist Fukushima Tomoaki chose the kanji for this year as "light" and explained the reason for it, saying, "'Iku Billion Light Years' reached far and wide like light, and light has shone into our activities as well."
The 75th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen will be broadcast on December 31st from 7:20pm to 11:45pm (with some news breaks). Hiroiki Ariyoshi, Kanna Hashimoto, Sari Ito, and announcer Naoko Suzuki will be the hosts.
