It has been announced that the second season of the TV anime " Dandadan ," based on the popular manga by Yukinobu Tatsu , currently being serialized on Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump+," will be produced and will be broadcast nationwide on the MBS/TBS late-night anime slot "Super Animeism TURBO" from July 2025. The 12th episode, the final episode of the first season, was broadcast on December 19th, and the broadcast of the second season was announced.
The visual for the second season has also been released. The entire image is dyed purple, creating a sinister atmosphere, with an evil eye staring at Jiji standing in the center. The visual suggests a fierce battle awaiting Momo, Okarun, Jiji, and Turbo Granny.
It was also announced that the mini-program "Dandadan Urabanashi" will be broadcast on MBS at 1:53 a.m. on December 20th. Shion Wakayama, who plays Momo, and Natsuki Hanae, who plays Okarun , will appear and talk about behind-the-scenes stories from the production site and dubbing. Director Fuuga Yamashiro will also appear in the video. A longer version of the TV broadcast will be made available on YouTube after the broadcast.
" Dandadan" began serialization in "Shonen Jump+" in April 2021. It depicts Momo, a high school girl from a family of spiritualists, and her classmate Okarun, an occult fanatic, as they confront the mysterious happenings that appear one after another. The comics have sold over 4 million copies in total. The first season of the anime began in October on Super Animeism TURBO and aired its final episode on December 19th.
