It has been announced that the much talked about TV drama "Doctor X: Surgeon Daimon Michiko" (TV Asahi), which has run for 12 years and is now wrapping up with a movie version, will be rebroadcast locally in the Kanto region on December 24th and 31st. Episodes carefully selected by the staff who have been involved in "Doctor X" for 12 years will be broadcast along with special comments from the main cast, including lead actress Ryoko Yonekura.
From 1:00 to 4:00 a.m. on the 24th, episodes will be broadcast of the fourth episode of the second series (2013), in which Ebina Kei (Kenichi Endo), eats the "Black Leather Notebook" containing Hiruma's secrets in a hearty manner, as well as episodes of the third episode of the fourth series (2016), in which Matsushita Yuki made a guest appearance, and episodes of the eighth episode of the seventh series (2021), in which Seto Asaka made a guest appearance.
On the 31st, from 3:30 to 4:30 pm, the 11th episode of the 4th series (2016) will be broadcast, in which Michiko (Yonekura) goes to great lengths to save Hiromi (Uchida Yuki) who has fallen seriously ill. This episode depicts the friendship of "Hiro Michiko".
In addition, from 12:25 to 1:25 a.m. on January 1, the new year, they will rebroadcast the special program "Celebrating the Release of Doctor X: The Movie SP," which was aired on December 7 (also in the Kanto region). The program will feature interviews with the cast, behind-the-scenes stories about famous lines, and a collection of Nishida's ad-libs.
