It has been revealed that the movie "Dollhouse", a collaboration between actor Masami Nagasawa and director Shinobu Yaguchi, known for "Water Boys" and "Swing Girls", will be released in early summer 2025. Nagasawa says the movie is a "doll mystery" in which she pursues the mystery of a cute but "strange" doll, and says, "It's a really scary movie in which the strange feeling of wondering just how far these people will go continues to the end."
Nagasawa commented, "The familiar presence of dolls gave the world a sense of reality, and it was refreshing to feel like I was immersed in it." Regarding the script written by Director Yaguchi, she said, "Rather than being nervous, I found myself feeling a little excited, and I felt like it could be an interesting piece of work. It's an aggressive script that keeps you wondering how far it's going to go until the very end."
Director Yaguchi, who said, "I've loved scary things since I was a child," finally got this chance! "I made it without holding back, to turn movie theaters into scream-inducing ride attractions." Regarding Nagasawa, with whom he will be teaming up for the first time since 2014's "WOOD JOB! ~Kamisari no Naaa Nichijou~," he said, "The Munch face she makes is really frightening.
