Actress Yuki Uchida was chosen as the "Biteki GRAND Best Beauty Woman" by readers of the beauty magazine "Biteki GRAND" (Shogakukan), and attended the "2024 Biteki Best Cosmetics Award 'Best Beauty' Winner Announcement Ceremony" held in Tokyo on December 18th. Uchida, who will be turning 50 next year, expressed her joy at receiving the award, saying, "Receiving such a wonderful award as I enter my 50s has really made me realize how wonderful it is to grow older," and revealed the changes in her body.
Uchida said that this year she has been experiencing more and more unexpected discomforts. "I've been experiencing more and more mysterious pains, shoulder pains, and incessant sweating. I think it's the onset of menopause. I'm at that age, so these kinds of things are happening to me," she said candidly.
As for tips on overcoming the physical and mental changes that come with age, she said, "I think we are living in an age where we can talk about our discomfort without hiding it, and I really want to keep a cool face and appear cool on stages like this, but there are times when that's not possible, because I'm human. It's important to ask your seniors how they've been getting by, or talk to your friends to calm your nerves."
Minami Hamabe and Yosuke Sugino also attended the announcement ceremony.
