It has been revealed that singer-songwriter Masayoshi Oishi will be performing the opening theme (OP) "Let's Become the Hero! feat. Airi Suzuki" for the golf-themed original TV anime "Sorairo Utility." The song is a duet collaboration between Oishi and Airi Suzuki, a former member of the idol group "℃-ute" who is active as a singer and model. The third PV featuring the OP has also been released on YouTube.
Oishi commented, "This time, I will be singing the opening theme for Sorairo Utility in a duet with Suzuki Airi-chan!! The title is 'Let's Become the Hero!'!! As it is a golf anime, I asked Airi-chan, whose family members are professional golfers, and thanks to her, the song turned out to be even better than I could have imagined!! When Suzuki Airi says 'Let's be the hero!' there's no choice but to become the hero, right? We are also regulars on the show together, so we are a great pair and I hope to achieve my best score on this song!! I really hope you will support us!"
Suzuki said, "I am very happy to be able to sing the opening theme to "Sorairo Utility," and to be able to sing it with my dear partner and greatly respected partner, Oishi-san!!!! I was born to professional golfer parents, and my younger brother is currently a teaching professional, so I grew up in a golfing family. I am finally able to be involved in golf in my own way, and I feel like I am being a little bit of a good son to my family. "Let's Become the Hero!" is another incredible song that Oishi-san has created... (laughs). The melody is stuck in your head once you hear it, the phrases give you a push, and the refreshing feeling makes you imagine a sunny fairway. My self-esteem sky rocketed while singing it!!! If you listen to this, your golf score and your daily happiness score will surely improve. You are only you! Let's all be the hero together!"
The series is an original TV anime produced by Yostar Pictures, an animation production company of the game company Yostar. The story is about a girl named Minami Aohaba, who is searching for her own "special something," discovers golf, and aims to become the "protagonist" of golf with her friends. Singer-songwriter Moeka Yahagi will be in charge of the ending theme "Horizon." It will be broadcast on TOKYO MX and other stations from January 3, 2025.
