A Gunpla (plastic model) of the Steller's Eagle-equipped Akatsuki Gundam, which appears in the popular anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED series Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY, will be released as the RG 1/144 Akatsuki Gundam (Steller's Eagle-equipped) from Bandai Spirits' RG series on December 14th. The price is 8,800 yen.
The Gunpla is plated with three different kinds of gold, and the multi-faceted shape accentuates the shine of the entire body, adjusting the angle of light reflection to express the glittering coating of Yatanokagami. The Steller's sea eagle's nose, hatch, beam cannon, and other parts can be deployed, and both wings can be moved flexibly.
By using some of the frame parts from the Strike Gundam in the "RG" series, it is possible to achieve the same level of action. The shoulders are equipped with a pull-out mechanism, and the hip joints can be opened widely, allowing for bold posing. It also features a swinging torso and arm and leg armor-linked sliding gimmicks. The verniers on the top of the shoulders and on the sides of the legs are equipped with movable gimmicks.
It is also compatible with the separately sold "HG 1/144 Destiny Gundam Spec II & Zeus Silhouette", and the Zeus Silhouette can be attached.
