Mikami Sensei:The cast of students selected through auditions has been announced, with a total of 29 actors including Daiken Okudaira, Airu Kubota, Akari Takaishi, and Sakura Kiryu.

The 29 cast members who will play the students in Class 3-2, taught by Takashi Mikami, the "Mikami Sensei" played by Tori Matsuzaka, in the Sunday Theatre drama "Mikami Sensei" (TBS, Sundays at 9pm) to be aired from January 2025, have been revealed.

Takashi Mikami (Matsuzaka), a bureaucrat in the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology who wants to change the Japanese education system, is ordered to transfer to a private high school. In reality, it was a demotion given to an elite bureaucrat, but Mikami believes that he cannot change the system by being on the side that creates it, so he takes to the podium himself, raising his voice from the field and destroying the system from within, and he stands up to authority while guiding 18-year-old high school students living in the Reiwa era... This is the story.

The cast announced this time is the student cast of class 3-2 who will be the homeroom teacher of Rintoku Gakuin, the high school where Mikami Sensei will be assigned. The auditions began in March and the 29 students were selected in early August. The cast includes promising young actors ranging from rising stars who will carry the next generation, such as Okudaira Daiken and Kubozuka Airu, who made their presence known in "The Best Teacher: One Year Later, I Was Loved by My Students" (Nippon TV), Takaishi Akari, who was chosen as the heroine of the NHK morning drama "Bakebake," and Sakura Kiryu, who played the 10th Peter Pan in the musical "Peter Pan," to new stars making their first full-fledged drama appearance.

Other cast members revealed to be Aju Makita, Yudai Toyoda, Juri Uesaka, Rintaro Hachimura, Koki Yamashita, Taiko Natsuo, Yuka Kageyama, Riko Nagase, Shuto Mori, Seira Anzai, Nako Yabuki, Shuto Imai, Takeyuki Mayumi, Marin Nishimoto, Sumire Hanaoka, Maru Nouchi, Kento Yamada, Iro Watanabe, Ryota Aoyama, Kazuki Fujimoto, Shunsuke Karaki, Sayu Suzukawa Suzuki, Hinari Serizawa, and Aozora Shirakura will be appearing in the series. An introductory video for the 29 students will be released in three parts on the drama's official SNS on December 14th.
