The editorial department of Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump+" has created a new manga award, "Shonen Jump+ Only Two Characters! Manga Award," and began accepting submissions on December 13th. The award is unique in that it accepts one-off works with "only two characters" in any genre or with any number of pages. Even works that are difficult to evaluate based on typical standards such as drawing ability or storyline have a higher chance of winning if they have an idea and characters that are unique to the relationship between "only two characters."
The editorial department of "Shonen Jump+" will be judging. At least one Grand Prize and Runner-up Prize winner will be guaranteed to be published in "Shonen Jump+" in addition to the prize money. The Grand Prize winner will receive 500,000 yen, the Runner-up Prize winner will receive 300,000 yen, the Honorable Mention Prize winner will receive 150,000 yen, and the Promising Work Prize winner will receive 10,000 yen.
In addition to the manga submission and publishing service "Jump Rookie!", applications are accepted via a web submission form and by mail. The deadline for applications is March 23rd.
