"My Dress-up Darling" began serialization in "Young Gangan" in 2018, and the final chapter was published in the 7th issue of the magazine, released on March 21st, bringing the curtain down on the roughly 7-year serialization. The final 15th volume of the manga was released on July 25th.
Additional cast members for season 2 of the TV anime were also announced. A new character appeared in episode 20, which aired late at night on August 23rd, and it was revealed that Kawase Maki will be playing Maki Kawase and Mayuko Kazama. A comic book announcement-style poster for the basketball manga "Double Clutch," which Miyako cosplayed as in the series, was also released.

"My Dress-up Darling" is a romantic comedy that depicts the love story between Gojo Niina, a high school boy training to become a head maker who makes faces for Hina dolls, and Kitagawa Marin, a gyaru cosplayer who loves anime and games. Season 1 of the TV anime aired from January to March 2022. A live-action drama starring Riko Nagase and Kota Nomura aired from October to December 2024, which also attracted attention.
