The 54th episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Omusubi " starring Kanna Hashimoto (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00am, etc.) was broadcast on December 12th, in which Sawada (Mendy Sekiguchi), the ace pitcher of Seikawa Electric's baseball team, to which Shoya (Hayato Sano) belongs, was drafted by the Giants. Viewers were interested in the reaction of Wakabayashi (Shinya Niiro), a Kobe City Hall employee, and Tachikawa (Hiroki Miyake), a cook at Seikawa Electric's employee cafeteria, to Sawada's decision to join the Giants.
At the 54th episode, when asked by the gathered press "How do you feel now that you've decided to join the Giants?" Sawada answered "It's great!" and smiled while wearing a Giants hat.
Sawada's move to the Giants was widely covered in the newspapers, and Wakabayashi was outraged, saying, "What's going on?" and could not hide his shock, saying, "Ah, I wish Orix had come." In the Seika Electric employee cafeteria, Tachikawa was seen swearing at Sawada himself, saying, "You traitor who abandoned Hanshin!"
