It has been announced that the TV anime "Danjo no Yujo wa Seiritsu Suru? (Iya, Shinai!!)" based on the light novel from Dengeki Bunko (KADOKAWA) will be broadcast from April 2025. It was also announced that Toya Kikunosuke will play the main character, Natsume Yuu, and Suzushiro Sayumi will play the heroine, Inuzuka Himari. A key visual depicting Natsume Yuu and Inuzuka Himari was also released.

The work is a light novel written by Nana Nana and illustrated by Parum. It is a youthful romantic comedy about a pair of best friends who swear eternal friendship, but one day end up falling in love with each other unrequitedly. The first volume was released in January 2021, and has been gaining popularity, being reprinted immediately. The comic version is currently being serialized in "Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh" (same publisher). The series has sold over 350,000 copies in total.
The anime will be directed by Suzuki Yohei and produced by JCSTAFF.
