It has been announced that the TV anime "The Daily Life of a Middle-Aged Online Shopper in Another World," based on a manga currently being serialized in the manga magazine "G Fantasy" (Square Enix), will be broadcast on TOKYO MX and other stations from January 9, 2025. The story is about the protagonist Kenichi, a man in his forties who is suddenly transported to another world, where he aims to live a slow life by making full use of his cheat ability to use shopping sites. It has been announced that a special program in collaboration with the series and a "certain company" will be streamed on YouTube from 7:30 pm on December 19th. Suwabe Junichi, who plays Kenichi, will appear in the special program.
It was also announced that the music unit Kimi no Ne will be performing the ending theme "Aikurafuto". The second promotional video using the song was released on YouTube. Kimi no Ne commented, "The more you get to know 'Araforo Otoko no Isekai Tsuuhan', the more you realize it's a work filled with various forms of 'love', so we wrote the love song 'Aikurafuto' with the desire to fill it with warm love! And our member Mai Otani not only plays the ending, but also plays strings on the soundtrack by Yumemi Kujira. We're really happy to be able to join you on this journey to another world in various ways like this."
The work is a comic adaptation of a light novel by Hifumi Asakura, who is popular on the novel submission site "Let's Become a Novelist". Kenichi, a single man in his 40s, is suddenly transported to another world. As he makes his way through the dangerous forest of the other world, he realizes that he can use online shopping sites in modern Japan, and uses this cheat ability to start a life in the other world... The comic adaptation by Umi Haru has been serialized in "G Fantasy" since 2019.
The anime will be directed by Yoshihide Tomoe and produced by East Fish Studio.
