It has been revealed that the ending theme song for the "Choudenji Respect TV Version," a re-edited version of the Philippine live-action version of the popular 1970s robot anime "Choudenji Machine Voltes V" for broadcast in Japan, will be "Tomoe wo Motomete ~LEGACY Ver.~," a cover of the anime's ending theme song "Tomoe wo Motomete" by Horie Mitsuko. "Tomoe wo Motomete" was sung by the late Ichiro Mizuki, and through crowdfunding, Horie, who also sang the anime's opening theme song "Voltes V no Uta," will cover it.
The "Choudenji Respect TV Version" has been airing on TOKYO MX every Tuesday at 8pm since November, and Horie's "Tomoe wo Motomete ~LEGACY Ver.~" will be the ending theme song from the fifth episode, which will be broadcast on December 17th. It will be available on various music distribution services from midnight on the same day.
"Voltes V Legacy" is a re-edited version of the film, "Voltes V Legacy," which was released in theaters on October 18th, adding scenes that were not included in the Philippine version. The live-action version was produced by Philippine terrestrial television station GMA Network. A film and a 90-episode TV series were produced.
