"Doctor X Festival" to celebrate the completion of Doctor X; previous works to be broadcast and streamed

To celebrate the release of the movie "Doctor X: Surgeon Daimon Michiko" (directed by Tamura Naoki, released on December 6th), which is the final installment of the popular TV Asahi drama series "Doctor X: Surgeon Daimon Michiko", it has been announced that previous episodes will be broadcast and streamed on terrestrial television and TVer under the title "Doctor X Festival".

Starting November 6th, the first series (2012) will be rebroadcast on TV Asahi's weekday afternoon "Gogo Wide" slot (1:55pm - 3:50pm, Kanto local). In addition, from the 18th, a selection of masterpieces chosen by the cast and famous fans, "My Best X", will be broadcast one after another.

In "My Best X," famous people who love "Doctor X," including the main cast including lead actress Ryoko Yonekura, Nanao and Kinya Kitaoji, who appeared in the third series (2014), Ado, the singer who sang the theme song for the seventh series (2021) and the movie version, and Yoshizumi Ishihara, have carefully selected their favorite episodes. Special comments filled with the judges' thoughts will also be broadcast. Details will be announced at a later date.

TVer will start a special feature commemorating the release of "Doctor X: The Movie FINAL" from noon on the 6th. In addition to past works (excluding some series), past series of the spin-off "Doctor Y: Surgeon Hideki Kaji", as well as related works by the cast such as "Matsumoto Seicho: Kurokawa no Techou" (2004) and "Negotiator: The Negotiator" (2008), in which Yonekura starred, will be distributed for free until the end of January.

A special version of the memorial feature for Nishida Toshiyuki, "Doctor X: Surgeon Daimon Michiko Special Edition," which was broadcast on October 22nd, will also be streamed. For two weeks only, Nishida's comments video, which were not broadcast in some regions, and tribute comments from his co-stars will be made available.

TELASA is currently streaming all of Yonekura's starring works, including the entire series of "Doctor X" and "Doctor Y."
