The program will begin interviewing Director Yamada at the end of 2023, when the production site of "The Color of You" is reaching its climax. Director Yamada has been giving detailed instructions on the lighting and angle of view for each piece of footage that has been produced every day, continuing the final "tenacity." Director Yamada is always soft-spoken, and even though the filming was in the climax, a calm atmosphere pervaded the set. The staff said of Director Yamada, "He's good at bringing out the strengths that people have." When asked about his secret, Yamada said, "I don't like to make decisions with words. If I say this is a square, the picture will come up as a square, so even if I want a square, I talk about a circle that contains a square."
We follow Director Yamada on his personal trips, which he always takes on his off-time after completing a film. He visits Prague, Czech Republic, where the director of the film that marked his beginnings lives. He also accompanies him on a "pilgrimage to sacred places," which he always does when he's there. He reaffirms the "strength" to be able to say "I like what I like," which he has treasured since he was in high school. We get a glimpse into the "color" of Director Yamada, who sublimates the conflicts swirling inside him and the delicate movements of his heart into animation and sends it out to the world.
