It has been announced that Motoka Murakami's kendo manga "Musashi no Ken" will be revived after approximately 40 years. A completely new two-part one-shot, "Musashi no Ken Final," will be published on Shogakukan's manga app "Sunday Webry." The first part will be released on May 20th, and the second part on June 3rd.
"Musashi no Ken" is a kendo manga by Murakami, also known for works such as "JIN" and "Ryu -RON-". It began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" (Shogakukan) in 1981, and an anime adaptation aired from 1985 to 1986. It depicts the story of Musashi, who was named by his parents with the hope that he would become a modern-day swordsman, as he pursues the path of the sword.
Sunday Webry has launched "Wednesday Masters," a project featuring one-shot and short stories by "masters" who have made their mark in "Weekly Shonen Sunday." As part of this project, a new chapter of "Musashi no Ken" will be published.
