The third episode of the drama series "Okome no Onna - National Tax Agency Document Investigation Division, Miscellaneous Affairs Room" (TV Asahi, Thursdays 9pm), starring actress Nanako Matsushima, was broadcast on January 22nd, and the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, same below) was 9.7% for households and 5.5% for individuals.
The drama is set in the newly established "Complex National Tax Case Processing Office (commonly known as Zakkoku)" of the Tokyo Regional Taxation Bureau's Document Investigation Division (commonly known as Kome, because of the character for rice, which means "fee"), which boasts high information gathering capabilities and investigative skills in tax investigations. The drama follows the talented investigator Yoneda Seiko (played by Matsushima) as she, along with a group of unique individuals, takes down unscrupulous tax evaders.
The subtitle of the third episode is "National Tax vs. Unscrupulous Beauty Clinics: Massive Tax Evasion!?" and guest stars Fuchigami Yasushi, Ikeda Tetsuhiro, and Yuki Mio.
Led by Masako Yoneda (Matsushima), Zakkoku begins investigating a beauty clinic run by the head director, who also appears in commercials. However, Yuka Tawara (Neru Nagahama) begins a solo investigation into another fortune-telling salon. Meanwhile, Sakuko Iijima (Mao Daichi) disguises herself as a customer and investigates the beauty clinic. Meanwhile, Koichi Sasano (Hayato Sano) and Toyosaku Furumachi (Katsumi Takahashi) sneak into the sauna where the clinic's doctors gather and overhear a strange conversation. Before long, the case develops into an unexpectedly epic incident... and so it goes.
