The seven-member idol group CANDY TUNE appeared at the rehearsal for the 76th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen, which was held at the NHK Hall in Shibuya, Tokyo on December 29th.
CANDY TUNE, who will be making their first appearance, will perform their song "Double Bounce Fight!", which became a huge hit on social media this year. Kotomi Tachibana expressed her joy at their first appearance, saying, "I never imagined that I would be able to perform at Kohaku last year, so I'm very happy to be standing here." She added enthusiastically, "I've been entrusted with opening the show for the Red Team, so I'll do my best to deliver the best performance possible!"
Murakawa Hian announced, "We've prepared special Red and White costumes!" and appealed, "We've prepared the best costumes we've ever had, so you won't forget them until next year, so don't miss it (laughs)!" When asked for a hint about the type of costumes she would wear, she said, "We have an image of being flashy and colorful, but on top of that, we have this kind of feel too! It's cute and not flashy. It shows our individuality too (laughs)."
The theme of the 76th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen is "Connecting, Connecting, New Year's Eve," and it will be hosted by Hiroiki Ariyoshi, Haruka Ayase, Mio Imada, and announcer Naoko Suzuki. It will be broadcast from 7:20 pm to 11:45 pm on December 31st (with some news breaks).
