On December 23rd, it was revealed that the title of the new work, which will be the official sequel to Hiroshi Takahashi's popular delinquent manga series "Crows" and "WORST," will be "Dustland." Illustrations of the characters appearing in the new work were also released. They feature two boys, Hibari and Sanzo, who live in Toaru City. The new work will begin serialization in the manga magazine "Young Champion" (Akita Shoten) issue 3 of 2026, which will be released on January 13th, 2026. This new series, which Takahashi will be writing and illustrating, will be the first in about 13 years since "WORST," which concluded in 2013.
The online manga site "Champion Cross" has started a campaign to release all episodes of "Crows" for free for 96 hours only, until December 26th.
"Crows" is a monumental delinquent manga that was serialized in "Monthly Shonen Champion" (published by the same publisher) from 1990 to 1998. The story begins when blond, pompadour-haired boy Harumichi Bouya transfers to Suzuran Boys' High School, also known as the "School of Crows," a school of delinquents that even crying children will be silenced by. The story follows a group of men who clash with powerful enemies such as Housen Academy, the Kurotaki Alliance, and the Armed Front, and sometimes come to terms with each other and grow as men. It has also been adapted into live-action and stage plays, and the total number of copies of the comics in circulation has exceeded 90 million, including the sequel "WORST," which ran in the same magazine from 2001 to 2013, and related works such as spin-offs.
