"Bakebake" Episode 61: Ginjiro arrives in Matsue!

The 61st episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Bakebake " (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00 AM and others), starring Akari Takaishi , was broadcast on December 22nd, and Toki's (Takaishi) ex-husband Ginjiro ( Kanichiro) reappeared for the first time in a long while towards the end of the episode, which became a hot topic among viewers.

In episode 61, Toki tells ghost stories to Heaven (Tommy Bastow) every night. However, once Heaven has finished writing his account of his stay in Japan, he may leave Japan. Toki asks Heaven if she is going back overseas, but Heaven evades the question by saying, "Why? Japanese..."

When Toki returns home from work, she is surprised to find a letter from Ginjiro. The letter says that he will visit Matsue on the first Saturday in April and wants to see Toki. Toki decides to take the day off work to coincide with Ginjiro's visit.

Toki said, "I want a Saturday off in early April," to which Heaven replied, "Of course." When Heaven asked why, Toki replied, "I know someone... Matsue is coming. I'll meet them." Heaven thought for a moment, then replied, "Horyu (put on hold)."

Afterwards, Haven receives a letter. She goes out for a walk alone with the letter in hand, and when she returns, she tells Toki, "OK. Yasumu, please. Seriously... okay... please!". Surprised by the sudden permission to take the day off, Toki writes down the sender's name and shows it to Nishikori (Ryo Yoshizawa Ryo). Nishikori explains that the sender is Eliza Belsland (Charlotte Kate Fox), the woman in a photograph that Haven treasures.

Eliza was heading to Matsue, and Ginjiro also arrived there for the first time in four years. He was dressed in Western clothes and looked very handsome.

This is Ginjiro's first reappearance in about two months since he broke up with Toki in episode 20 (broadcast on October 24th). Social media was buzzing with comments such as, "I missed you, Ginjiro!!!", "Ginjiro has grown so much - crying", "Ginjiro has come back even more handsome", and "He hasn't forgotten about Toki in four years...".
