The popular manga "Terra Formars," which has been adapted into a live-action film and a TV anime, resumed serialization in the third issue of 2026 of the serialized magazine "Weekly Young Jump" (Shueisha), which went on sale on December 18th. This marks the first time the series has resumed serialization in about eight months, since April.
The same issue featured the 70th chapter, in which a battle between guards and cockroaches breaks out on a luxury cruise ship. To commemorate the resumption of the series, the app Young Jump+ is offering 10 volumes of the manga for free from December 11th to 21st, as well as the first unpublished chapters for free.
"Terra Formars" is a science fiction action manga written by Takaya Yuu and illustrated by Tachibana Kenichi. It began serialization in "Miracle Jump" (same publisher), a supplement to "Weekly Young Jump," in January 2011, and moved to "Weekly Young Jump" in April 2012. The story depicts the battle between incredibly evolved cockroaches and humans with insect abilities.
The TV anime series aired from September to December 2014, and the sequel, Terra Formars: Revenge, aired from April to June 2016. The live-action film directed by Takashi Miike, which was released in April 2016, also attracted a lot of attention.
