The seven-member girl group "XG" attended the "SKULLPANDA POP UP SHOP" commemorative event held at SHIBUYA TSUTAYA (Shibuya Ward, Tokyo) on November 17th. They looked back on a year of great progress, including being the only Japanese artists to perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival (Coachella), one of the largest music festivals in the US, and closing the Sahara Stage.
When asked about her memories of this year, CHISA said with a smile, "Our group slogan this year was 'If we don't shed our skin, we die! Do or Die! HESONOO!' and it's been a year in which we've grown so much that it's like we shed our skin so many times. It was our shortest, yet most intense year to date. I especially remember performing at Coachella."
JURIN then reflected on her fulfilling past year, savoring it as she said, "Ever since we were in middle school, it's been our goal to all get on this stage someday! This year we were able to make our dream come true, and it's given us new dreams to go even higher. It's been a huge year."
This pop-up shop commemorates the sale of Japan-only items that are a collaboration between XG and the popular character "SKULLPANDA" from the art toy brand "POP MART." CHISA said, "This is the first time I've collaborated with SKULL PANDA as an artist, and this time it's only available in Japan, but next time I'll sell it worldwide (laughs). I hope we can collaborate again."
The "SKULLPANDA POP UP SHOP" will be held on the first floor of SHIBUYA TSUTAYA from 11:30 am to 8:30 pm from November 18th to 25th. Admission is free, but there is a pre-selection system.
