The 3rd Mangano Award, the largest joint manga award held by publishers in Japan, was launched on November 6th and is run by the editorial department of Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump+" and the manga submission platform "Manganno," which is jointly operated by Hatena, the company that runs "Hatena Blog" and other sites.
The manga award is judged by 12 editorial departments from 12 companies, including KADOKAWA, Kodansha, Shogakukan, and Shueisha, and the winner of the grand prize will receive a prize of 2 million yen. The award has been held twice in the past, and eight works have been published in commercial magazines and media outlets, including "Shonen Jump +," and 76 applicants have been asked to be featured. This year, all submitted works will be eligible for scouting, regardless of whether they have won an award or not.
Entrants can submit their work on Mangano with the manga award tag "#3rdMangannoGrandPrize." The deadline for submissions is February 24, 2026.
