It has been announced that "Kaori-san Wants to Fight Even If She Reincarnates," the latest work by Hekiru Hikawa, known for the manga "Pani Poni," will be adapted into a TV anime in 2026. A teaser visual featuring the heroine, Kaori Meteor, a former hero who is now a high school student, has also been released.
Hikawa commented, "When I heard that 'Kaori-san' was being made into an anime, I thought it was a dream brought on by stress that I couldn't distinguish from reality. But it seems that it will really be made into an anime. As the author, I am so happy to be able to be involved in the making of the anime from a close distance, and they have made a wonderful, interesting, and cool anime that retains the atmosphere of the original, so maybe it is a dream after all. See you all in your dreams."
The work is a manga published by Morning Two (Kodansha). It is a romantic comedy about Narukami Ryusei, a recluse who spends his days absorbed in games, but who is actually the Demon King in a world other than this one, and Kaori Meteor, a hero who once defeated Ryusei and is now a high school girl. The latest volume, volume 8, will be released on September 22nd.
