"Shinjuku Anime Song Scope" is a website where Sho Higuchi, the anime buyer at Tower Records Shinjuku, known for its extensive selection of anime songs, reports on best-selling anime songs and direct feedback from the sales floor. The number one song at the store from August 10th to 17th was "Utopia or Dystopia/Reunion Girls, What Should I Do?", the theme song for the TV anime "Nukitasu THE ANIMATION."

The top-ranked song, "Utopia or Dystopia/What Should I Do With Reunion Girls?", features the opening theme "Utopia or Dystopia" by singer-songwriter Yumeno Yuki and the ending theme "What Should I Do With Reunion Girls?" by Ayase Rie.
Other first-timers include the idol band Pastel＊Palettes from the popular anime and game franchise BanG Dream!, whose first mini-album in about a year and three months, Kimi to Stage by Stage, which ranked fourth. Singer May'n's 20th anniversary album, TWENTY//NEXT, debuted in tenth place.

Higuchi Sho is a buyer in charge of anime at Tower Records Shinjuku's 7th floor (Japanese music and sales promotion). He was transferred from the Machida store in 2014. He first became interested in anime through 1990s works such as "Neon Genesis Evangelion," "BLUE SEED," and "VS Knight Ramune & 40 Flames," and among anime songs, he loves listening to character songs, especially those related to idol anime. His favorite anthem is "Up! 10sion Pleeeeeeeeease!" from "The Idolmaster Million Live!" His favorite anime and games include "Pretty Rhythm," "The Idolmaster," "Photo Kano," and "Sakura Wars."
