The event " My Hero Academia HERO×VILLAIN FES. <Hero x Enemy <Villain> Fest>" for the TV anime "My Hero Academia ," based on the manga by Kohei Horikoshi serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), was held at Pia Arena MM (Nishi-ku, Yokohama) on August 17th. During the afternoon session, Nobuhiko Okamoto , who plays Katsuki Bakugo Bakugo, and Koki Uchiyama , who plays Tomura Shigaraki Shigaraki, performed a live dubbing of a famous scene from episode 149 of the seventh season of the TV anime, "Light Fades To Rain," and revealed what went on behind the scenes during the recording.
In episode 149, "Light Fades To Rain," Bakugo collapses after a battle with Shigaraki. Okamoto said that many of Bakugo's lines in season 7 were difficult to say, saying, "I didn't want to say to Deku, 'I wonder if I can still catch up to you.' It was tough, and I've been watching Kacchan for so long," and revealed that during the recording of the episode, "I couldn't stop crying."
In the live dubbing and talk corner, "Weave! Each Person's Feelings!", the voice actors performed live dubbing of famous scenes from episodes 141 "The Enemy", 143 "Let You Down", 145 "INFLATION", 146 "Two Flashfires" ", 148 "Immolation!! The Wounded Hero", 149 "Light Fades To Rain", 155 "hopes", 157 "I AM HERE", 158 "The Girl's Ego", and 159 "A Battle Without Quirks". The voice actors' passionate performances drew thunderous applause from the audience.
The event also featured appearances by Daiki Yamashita (voice of Izuku Midoriya ), Kenta Miyake (voice of All Might) , Ayane Sakura(voice of Dabi Hiro Shimono Shimono (voice of Shoto Todoroki), Yuki Kaji(voice of Shoto Todoroki), and Misato Fukuen (voice of Himiko Toga). A video letter from Akio Otsuka and Hiroshi Kamiya(voices of All For One) was also screened. The official promotional video for the eighth season of the anime, "FINAL SEASON," which will air from October 4th, was released, and it was also announced that the band Porno Graffitti will perform the opening theme, "THE REVO." The band previously performed the opening theme, "THE DAY," for the first season of the anime, which aired in 2016. After nearly nine years, they will now perform the opening theme for "FINAL SEASON." The event was divided into two parts: daytime and evening, and a preview screening of the opening credits of "FINAL SEASON" was also shown.
"My Hero Academia" was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from July 2014 to August 2024. Set in a world where approximately 80% of the population possesses supernatural powers and quirks, the series follows Izuku Midoriya, also known as Deku, as he strives to become the greatest hero. The comics have sold over 100 million copies worldwide.
The first season of the TV anime aired from April to June 2016, the second from March to September 2017, the third from April to September 2018, the fourth from October 2019 to April 2020, the fifth from March to September 2021, the sixth from October 2022 to March 2023, and the seventh from May to October 2024. The "FINAL SEASON" will be broadcast on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV every Saturday at 5:30 pm starting from October 4th.
