It has been revealed that the seven-member boy band "THE SUPER FRUIT," which will make its major debut in September, will star in the drama series "Samgyeopsal Desu ga" (TV Tokyo), which will begin airing in the same month. This will be the first time that the entire group will appear in a drama, and the fake documentary will be a joint Japanese-Korean production, filmed entirely in Korea.
THE SUPER FRUIT is a seven-member boy band consisting of Oda Yuma, Horiuchi Yuru, Takura Teruhisa, Abe Shundai, Hoshino Harumi, Matsumoto Yuki, and Suzuki Shion. They made their CD debut on August 31, 2022 with the song "Chiguhagu" and won the "TikTok Buzzword Award 2022" in the same year. They will make their major debut with Universal Music in September.
The drama is a joint production between TV Tokyo's production team and the Korean production company VISUAL ANDWIT, known for the popular variety show "GOING SEVENTEEN" by the boy group SEVENTEEN. The main character, Yuma (Oda), a rookie director for an information program, suddenly transforms into samgyeopsal while on a business trip to Korea. In order to avoid the unexpected transformation, he grows little by little through trial and error with his friends Teruhisa (Takura) and Yui (Horiuchi). The members of THE SUPER FRUIT appear with the same names as their characters.
The theme song is "Manimani," which will be THE SUPER FRUIT's major debut single. Hyadain has written the song, and the CD will be released on September 2nd.
Thursday Drama 24 "Samgyeopsal" will be broadcast every Thursday at 12:30am starting September 11th. There will be a total of four episodes, with the first one airing at 12:36am.

When it was decided that we would be appearing this time, I was really happy because I never thought all the members would be able to appear! And when I heard that we would be going to Korea, which I love, to film, I was super excited! After announcing it to everyone, my manager whispered to me, "It's because Ima is the main character!" I was surprised, but at the same time, I was worried about whether I would be able to do it! However, once filming began, the director and the Korean staff were really kind, and I was able to overcome my nervousness and get to work! It was really fun to play a new role! I hope to continue to work hard and challenge myself with various roles!

The day has finally come when I can announce it to everyone! I was so happy when I first heard it, and I hope to be able to show a new side of myself! I used to say "Chincha Pekopa" a lot in Japan, but I never thought I'd get to say it in real life, and in a drama...it's a dream come true! I've also worked more closely with the other members than ever before from a different perspective, so please be sure to pay attention to that as well!

I was a bit worried about filming overseas, but thanks to the cooperation of the staff and everyone involved, we were able to complete the shoot without incident. My role in this drama is that of a new director at a TV station, and my character is a little bit of a scatterbrain, so it was the complete opposite of my usual self, and I had a lot of trouble! That's what I want to say, but I acted as my normal self, just like always! I was able to act as usual Suzuki! lol
