TV Tokyo will broadcast the Sumida River Fireworks Festival exclusively live from 6:30 pm on July 26th.
The theme of this program is "The things that never change are here. Won't you come and watch it with us? The Sumida River Fireworks Festival?" The show will be hosted by actor Hideki Takahashi and the station's announcer Minami Nakahara, and will feature guest appearances by fashion designer Junko Koshino, actor Riho Yoshioka , Kei Inoo of Hey! Say! JUMP , Maika Sasaki of =LOVE, and table tennis player Shunsuke Togami.
The highlight of the program is the impressive footage of 20,000 fireworks launched simultaneously from the first and second venues, captured by more than 30 cameras from helicopters and houseboats. There will also be the annual fireworks competition, where 10 elite fireworks companies compete with their most technically advanced fireworks, and there will be reports from hidden spots only locals know about, and from the homes of those who have enviable views of the fireworks.
