Singer Shizuka Kudo will appear on the variety show "Hiromi's Osekai!" (Nippon TV) broadcast from 10 pm on August 2nd. This is Kudo's first appearance on a variety location shoot in 17 years, and she's excited to be visiting a home improvement store for the first time.
On the show, Hiromi, shopping-loving Shinobu Hasegawa of the comedy duo Sisonne, and Snow Man's Daisuke Sakuma will "meddle" in the shopping of celebrities who make "fairly large purchases."
Kudo-san goes shopping for kitchen goods and high-performance kitchen appliances at his first home improvement store and electronics retailer. In addition, Shinichi Hatori test rides the latest electric-assisted bicycle to find a new hobby. The comedy duo "Batteries" also appears and orders an original leather jacket as a gift for his father.
Kudo reflected on the location shoot, saying, "It was so much fun! It was so much fun! There wasn't enough time! I don't often get to actually go and shop like this, so I really thought if I stayed a little longer I would end up buying even more, which was dangerous (laughs)."
When asked about the most memorable purchase of her life, she revealed, "When I was 20, I stretched a little and worked hard to buy my parents a house as a gift! I plunked down the money I'd been saving since my teens and bought it. I remember handing them the keys and saying, 'This is a present,' and taking them to the place and saying, 'Open it,' and setting all the furniture aside for me. That's the gift I remember most fondly."
