Model and actor Arashi Rina, who plays Murata Chieri, a member of the Umezono High School competitive karuta club in the TV series "Chihayafuru -Meguri-" (Nippon TV, Wednesdays at 10pm), will appear on the travel variety show "ANOTHER SKY" (Nippon TV), which will air from 11pm on July 19th.
Arashi was born on May 3, 2004 and is 21 years old and from Saitama Prefecture. He has roots in five countries and will star in his first film, "My Small Land" (directed by Keima Kawawada, released on May 6th), which will be released in 2022. The film was the first Japanese film to receive the Amnesty International Film Award Special Commendation at the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival.
In the program, Arashi visits Germany, where his Japanese grandmother moved 55 years ago, and has a tearful reunion with her. He talks about his past struggles in searching for his place in the world, and his future as an actor and model.
