The TV drama series " A Calm Sea and Beautiful Days with You " (Fuji TV, Thursdays 10pm), starring actor Kyoko Yoshine and co-starring Honda Kyoya, has wrapped up filming, with both Yoshine and Honda in tears.
The filming wrapped up together with a meal scene between Natsumi (Yoshine) and Takita (Honda), and Honda tearfully said, "Thank you so much. I'm happy to have been involved in a production that is loved by so many people. I was truly happy to have played the role of Ebata Takita."
Receiving the bouquet, Yoshine commented with tears in her eyes, "Thank you for your hard work. I'm just relieved now. I was able to get through this thanks to all of you and this team." Yoshine told Honda, "We're both crying our eyes out..." and Honda, also in tears, replied, "Thank you very much," making it a touching moment filled with smiles and tears.
The original author, Hachi Nishika, also presented them with a newly drawn illustration of a colored paper, with Natsumi and Takimasa in the "eternal pose," which is the official pose of the drama. Yoshine and Honda expressed their joy, saying, "We're so happy. Thank you very much."
The story is based on the manga of the same name currently being serialized on Kodansha's manga app "Comic DAYS." It depicts the love story that begins in 1936, when Natsumi, who was proposed to and married with "zero days of dating," and Imperial Navy lieutenant Takitaka Ebata begin their married life together.
