The fifth episode of the drama series " Since I Took You Away " (Kantele/Fuji TV, Mondays at 10pm), starring actress Keiko Kitagawa , was broadcast on May 19th. At the end of the episode, there was a scene where Kumura (Abe Ryohei) reunites with his former tutor Ririko (Taira Yuna), which caused a stir on social media.

In the fifth episode, Hiromi ( Nao Omori ), who got a job at Switchback to find out what Asahi (Omori Nao) has been hiding, is assigned to Asahi's customer service center, which is his favorite place to work. Hiromi is tasked with sorting through the customer feedback he receives, and is surprised by Asahi's sincere work ethic, which is different from the image he had of him. Meanwhile, Hiromi learns that a slanderous letter about Asahi is being mailed to one of his stores several times a month, and is concerned by the sentence "Yuki Asahi, child murderer" written on it.
Meanwhile, Yukiko (Hideko Hara), who visited Hiromi's house, couldn't stop thinking about Miumi (Kasumi Isshiki), who said she was Hiromi's daughter. Hiromi wasn't pregnant 13 years ago when Miumi was born. So who was that child?... As she was thinking about this, Miumi suddenly came to the nursery school. Miumi tells the bewildered Yukiko, "There's something I want to ask you." It's something she can't ask Hiromi... and so the story unfolds.
Towards the end of the episode, there was a scene where Kumura was meeting someone he met on a dating app. As Kumura was smiling and reviewing the conversation he had had with the other person on his smartphone, he heard a voice say, "Sorry to keep you waiting." Kumura turned around with a smile, but the person who appeared was Ririko, who had once accused him of sexual harassment and spread lies about him on social media.
When Ririko said, "Kumura-sensei, it's been a while," Kumura tried to leave without a word, but Ririko stopped him, saying, "Wait!" Kumura then said, "You invited me even though you knew it was me? You're crazy," to which Ririko replied, "I wanted to apologize," and pleaded, "Please. Just for a little while, can you please listen to me?", confusing Kumura.
On social media, the reunion of Kumura and Ririko was a hot topic with many worried comments such as, "Kumura, run away!", "Don't show your kindness," "Aren't they going to make him suffer again?", "It's better not to get involved," and "Will he get hurt again?"
